Who is Kevin Lepine, America’s Comedy Hypnotist?

Kevin Lepine, America’s Comedy Hypnotist, began performing across Detroit and Michigan before touring nationwide from New Orleans in 2005. Since 2010, he’s headlined Hypnosis Unleashed at the Four Queens Hotel on Fremont Street, Las Vegas—the longest-running comedy hypnosis show anywhere. Tickets: VegasHypnosisShow.com.

Kevin Lepine My Comedy Hypnotist Journey

Performing across Detroit and throughout Michigan gave me the first real taste of what live comedy hypnosis could be. Every stage, from small college auditoriums to major theaters, became a training ground. Those nights taught me how to connect instantly, think fast, and let volunteers become the stars. Michigan audiences were honest, loud, and full of heart. They taught me that great comedy doesn’t need scripts—it needs real people.

After years performing around the Great Lakes, I wanted a bigger challenge. So in 2005, I packed my gear, moved to New Orleans, and began touring the country full-time. The South brought new audiences and new rhythms. Crowds in Baton Rouge and Mobile reacted differently than fans in Chicago or Cleveland. Each stop sharpened my timing and deepened my respect for volunteers who trusted me to guide them through unpredictable, hilarious experiences.

Touring pushed me coast to coast

One week I was on stage in Orlando; the next, I was performing in Dallas, Denver, or Salt Lake City. College campuses, comedy clubs, and corporate conventions opened their doors to a brand of show that combined quick wit, fast improvisation, and authentic hypnosis. Volunteers became the heartbeat of every performance. No two nights were the same, and that unpredictability kept audiences—and me—coming back for more.

As the tours grew, I began working with universities across the Midwest, East Coast, and South. From SUNY campuses in New York to Longwood University in Virginia, from Northern Michigan University to Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota, each event brought new stories. Campus Activities Magazine eventually recognized my shows among their featured national acts. That honor reinforced what years on the road had already proven—hypnosis and comedy together can unite any crowd.

Performing across so many states also meant adjusting to every culture. Crowds in Texas demanded big energy; audiences in Boston preferred sharp timing and clever phrasing. Meanwhile, shows in Florida, Arizona, and California tested endurance and adaptability. Through it all, volunteers stayed the focus. Their laughter created a connection stronger than any spotlight.

By 2010, the journey led me west to Las Vegas

The idea wasn’t just to perform; it was to build a lasting home for comedy hypnosis. Fremont Street’s pulse, sound, and spirit made it the perfect backdrop. That year, Hypnosis Unleashed opened inside the Four Queens Hotel. The show quickly became a downtown staple—affordable, funny, and fueled by audience participation.

Since then, the energy hasn’t stopped. Week after week, volunteers walk on stage and create moments no script could match. Every laugh feels spontaneous, every scene unpredictable. Over fifteen years later, Hypnosis Unleashed continues to deliver the same rush. Nightly performances still pack the Four Queens with guests from around the world.

For anyone planning a spontaneous night out, downtown Vegas offers hundreds of choices. Yet as explained in  Last-Minute in Vegas — Hypnosis Unleashed Makes Your Night, this experience stands out because it thrives on real volunteers and real reactions. It’s fast, flexible, and fun—making it perfect for last-minute plans.

A National Journey to a Vegas Legacy

Before Vegas, I had the privilege of performing everywhere from Detroit’s Fox Theatre to the WorkPlay Theater in Birmingham. I’ve entertained crowds at festivals in Mobile, performed corporate shows in Nashville, and brought hypnosis comedy to audiences in Denver, Chicago, and Atlanta. Each stop added a new rhythm, a new laugh
